Heads up from the El Campo Office of Emergency Management – National Hurricane Preparedness Week is in full swing until May 6. It’s always best to be prepared for any emergency, especially hurricanes. Here’s a short checklist of things to do before a storm hits: 1) Make a basic emergency plan, 2) Assemble an emergency supply kit, 3) Prepare for evacuation, and 4) If you or a loved one need assistance evacuating, reach out to the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry.
