Big news out of Victoria! The city council is set to vote on expanding the cultural district and a new library master plan. The expansion of the cultural district would increase the original 20-block area adopted by the city council last year to a 36-block site. If approved, the Five Points Museum of the Contemporary Arts, South Texas Ballet Academy, Nazareth Convent, and 120 Main Place would be included in the expanded area. In addition, the council will consider approval for a new library masterplan which will guide the public library in developing improvements for the next 10-30 years.
