If you’re a resident of El Campo or its surrounding area, here’s some good news. On April 29th, you can bring your old and unwanted tires to Rotary Park for free recycling. The event is sponsored by the Houston-Galveston Area Council and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and it’s all part of El Campo’s efforts to reduce blight. Only tires from standard-sized passenger vehicles will be accepted, but you can bring as many as you like – just make sure they’re off the rim. The city is hoping to fill up three 18-wheeler trucks with up to 1,000 tires.
