Wharton ISD recently has got their hands on two new, brightly colored activity buses, the Tiger Express 1 and Tiger Express 2. Each bus can seat 44 people and are 2022 and 2023 models from the Thomas Bus Company. These buses were part of a larger order of eight from the company, costing $273,000, but it was paid for using federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds, not local taxes. The life expectancy for
most buses is 10-15 years.
