A fire broke out on Monday in Bay City due to illegal burning. An old fiberglass boat, wood fencing, and household goods were destroyed. Before the police arrived, the fire had spread to the backyard and was getting bigger by the minute. So the Bay City Fire Department was also called to help. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the house wasn’t damaged. The fire marshal reminds residents to always attend to a contained fire and keep a water hose or fire extinguisher nearby. Open burning without a permit is not allowed.
