El Campo man Jose Manuel De La Rosa is facing up to 6 months in jail and a $10,000 fine for shooting a refrigerator. The incident caused two schools to be locked down and put people in and near his home in danger. The police didn’t know what he had shot at when they arrived, but an AT&T worker reported he had been shot at and there were two other people inside the home. De La Rosa later surrendered to police and was charged with deadly conduct: discharging a firearm and resisting arrest.
