Just a heads up that early voting for the General Election is starting on April 24th. City Council positions 1 and 2 are up for grabs with Floyce Brown and Jim Folse running for re-election. Folse is unopposed while Brown has competition from Benjamin Flores. There’s also a proposition for the Port of Bay City to issue $68 million in bonds to improve Matagorda Harbor. Remember, only those within the city limits can vote for Bay City Council positions. Early voting will be thru May 2nd from 8 a.m. to 5pm.
