Residents in three of El Campo’s four city districts will have decisions to make in the upcoming May election. Only District 3 Councilman David Hodges is returning uncontested. Former councilman Steve Ward and John VonDerAu are on the ballot for District 1. Councilwoman Gloria Harris is stepping down in District 2, and Tom Coblentz and Cedric Taylor are competing for her post. In District 4, incumbent John Hancock Jr. is being challenged by John Bieltz. Early voting starts on April 24th, and Election Day is on May 6th.
