The inaugural “Touch A Truck” event is happening this Saturday at Wharton’s Riverfront Park, and it’s free! Kids of all ages can get up close to different kinds of vehicles, including police cars, garbage trucks, buses, and even a boat. The event runs from 9-10 a.m. for those with sensory sensitivities, and from 10 a.m. to noon for everyone. There will be food vendors, face painting, and a puppet show by the Anchor Club. The event was inspired by Faye Evans’ grandchildren, who loved looking at construction vehicles and school buses.
