The mayor of Kendleton is facing a legal battle over public records. Darryl Humphrey was indicted for failing to comply with an open records request in 2021. Humphrey and his attorney have now turned over most of the information requested and have agreed to make changes to comply with state laws. Humphrey takes responsibility and says there was a lack of communication. They have agreed to put protocols in place to ensure transparency. Humphrey is scheduled to appear in court next week.
