A brand new senior community living complex is on its way to Bay City. According to officials, the construction site has already been established on Merlin Street and Avenue H, right across from the old Matagorda General Hospital. This complex will feature six, two-bedroom homes designed specifically for senior citizens. The Southeast Texas Housing Finance Corporation is leading this development and has plans to build and own the complex. Currently, they’re in negotiations with a lender for their next project.
