A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after an incident in Needville last week. Deputies responded to a call in the 7700 block of Merchant Drive, where they found a male victim wounded by a machete. The victim was later treated at Memorial Hermann-Sugar Land. Hector Rodriguez was identified as the suspect after an investigation and was arrested by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force. He is now in custody at Fort Bend County Jail on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without bond.
