After weeks of waiting for the next court hearing regarding the future of the Luther Hotel, proponents for saving the hotel were bummed to learn there were no updates as the court is recessed until April 4th, according to the Tribune. The Luther Hotel in Palacios has endured six major hurricanes in the last 120 years and has most likely contributed more to the town’s economy than any other single business in the city. Last summer, the city
had the hotel closed due to code violations.
