One person was arrested Sunday morning on shoplifting charges. Brenham police were dispatched to a business in the 200 block of Highway 290 West, that reported a male pushed a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise and left in a vehicle. The vehicle matching the description was stopped and the stolen merchandise was located inside. The suspect was positively identified as 37 year old Jacob Clayton King of Simonton, and was arrested for theft and sits behind bars.
