El Campo ISD have a new program, Ricebird University, to help keep parents informed and engaged with their students, present and future. The program debuted in January and consists of afternoon and evening classes for parents to help them keep on top of what their children need from the schools. One recent class informed parents about the dangers of social media. The new program takes place at the Northside Elementary Cafeteria on Meadow Lane from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on select Mondays. Tonight they will have a counselor from the high school share information about how to prepare for college.
