FM 1093 and FM 1463 in Fort Bend Couny reopened to traffic shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday morning following a fatal accident involving an 18-wheeler and pickup truck which caused the intersection to be closed for 20 hours. Crews worked all night in the rain because the accident scene investigation took the entire day. The driver of the 18-wheeler was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. Authorities say it appears that the semi driver was sober. Whether charges are filed against the driver will be decided in the near future.
