The Lower Colorado River Authority recently awarded more than $985,000 in Community Development Partnership Program grants for a wide range of projects. An almost $24 thousand dollar grant to the City of El Campo is for new emergency response equipment, including automated external defibrillators, for the city’s emergency medical service command vehicles. $50,000 goes to City of Bay City for construction of new lighted soccer fields and additional restrooms at Hardeman Park.
