The historic Luther Hotel in Palacios was scheduled for demolition last week but the severe cold weather caused a delay in the action for now. The announcement for the demolition was placed by the Ed Rachal
Foundation. According to supporters of the Luther Hotel, the hotel is deep in rich history and is one of the
few remaining old time hotels on the Texas Gulf constructed of Cypress.
