Continuing with its outreach mission, Bay City Municipal Court officials hit the schools in November
for Municipal Court week. Court Administrator Katy Plunkett and Juvenile Case Manager Ginger Lovanna lead the presentations by first, reading “Bernard in the Backseat” or “Be Careful Lulu” and then by demonstrating proper height and age requirements for a 5-point harness seat and booster seat. They also shared that since 2000, at least one person has died from a vehicle fatality on Texas roadways every day. They also discussed the importance of knowing your home address and parent phone numbers as well as “stranger danger.”
