Downtown Victoria was packed with hundreds of visitors on Saturday evening who were looking to celebrate Día de Muertos. The festival gave an opportunity for families to come celebrate with their children and cherish the life of loved ones who have died. The downtown event was organized by the VTX Día de Muertos Community Event Committee, which has organized events leading up to Saturday’s celebration to educate the community on Central Mexico’s traditions for the holiday. There were vintage cars on display with altars, local business vendors, live music, tables for children to color, and a place for children to get their faces painted.
