With the November election season drawing closer, the deadline to register to vote is just a few days
away. Texas requires voters to register in their county 30 days before the election, so for the Nov. 8th election, the registration deadline is Oct. 11 in person or postmarked if returning by mail. The last general election in 2020
saw the largest turnout since at least 1988 nearly 17,000 voters, and almost 14,500 voting early. Other deadlines fast approaching are the Texas Early voting period, beginning Oct. 24th and running through to Nov. 4th. The deadline to apply to vote by mail is Oct. 28th
