Golf carts are a topic of discussion once again, as some people are not following the law. City Manager Gary Broz says the City of Edna decided to revert back to Texas law for Edna to enforce. Texas law allows for golf carts to be driven up to five miles from the golf course, which covers the entire city of Edna, however, people can only drive directly to the course from their house, with no detours in between. if you’re on a golf
cart and you stop at a friend’s house, you are breaking the law. If the issue persists, the golf carts could be impounded, although Broz would really prefer for the situation not to get to that point.
