The American Heart Association recently recognized El Campo EMS for its efforts to treat patients suffering from heart attacks. The Lifeline EMS Silver Plus achievement is earned after recognized treatment of eight patients blocked blood flow to the heart and smoothly transporting them to hospital facilities. The award recipients are: Paramedic Cliff Johnson, Paramedic Capt. Josh Laslie, EMS Director Garret Bubela, Paramedic Christa Alonzo and Paramedic Phyllis Elmore.
