The Bay City Police Department says on Monday, at about 1:14 p.m., Bay City emergency crews were dispatched to a fire at 1520 1st street. First responding units saw heavy smoke and flames coming from a trailer. The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes. the fire also damaged a utility trailer, a carport, a van, and a boat. Damage to the structure and adjacent properties was estimated to be about $25,000. No injuries were reported. No one was home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
