The El Campo School District is trying to figure out exactly how much money was taken from a school activity fund. Leader-News.com says more than $2500 is missing from the fund. The district tried to collect the funds without involving police, but couldn’t do that. The crime went unseen during the 2021 Ricebird football season. The money should have gone to the football program.
