Eight Wharton County Junior College instructors are receiving the 2023 National Institute of Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Awards. Recipients include Gary Bonewald, instructor of emergency medical services; Geoffrey Shine, instructor of government; Nicole Parks, instructor of mathematics; Dr. Hector Weir, instructor of Spanish; Dr. Jessi Snider, instructor of English; Peter Anderson, instructor of geology; Dr. Kelly Wallace, instructor of physical therapy assistant; and J.B. Groves, instructor of computer science. In May, recipients will be recognized during the annual International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin.
