National Night Out is happening on October 4th and the Wharton Police Department will be utilizing a centralized location in town to make the event more accessible for all to attend. It will be at parking lot No. 1 at W-C-J-C. All food, drinks, and activities will be free to those who attend. National Night Out is designed to: Heighten crime
and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participate in, local anticrime programs; strengthen
neighborhood spirit and police partnerships; and send a message to criminals.
