The Day of the Dead Festival’s temporary T-A-B-C permit was unanimously approved at Commissioner’s Court
for the Nov. 5 event. Darve Smith, the new Bay City Tourism Manager says there would be a beer garden and that this is a continuing annual event tradition. Matagorda County Judge Nate McDonald said the festival “is a good program and draws people into the county for a good time and entertainment.” The Day of the Dead Festival will be held at the Matagorda County Fairgrounds this year.
